If you look at real estate spec sheets you might of notice that newer homes often have a designated “media” room. I suppose media room sounds a lot sexier than spare room, family room, basement or just another room. I image that a media room might look a little bit like this:
…or maybe like this:
How about this pretty version of a “media room?
The “Ugly” Truth
Here’s the real deal. We have a “media” room. That’s what the MLS feature sheet said anyhow. In reality it is more like an all-purpose junk room. Lately it has become a makeshift workshop for my on going playroom storage project. One day when I’m tired of building stuff, I might turn this space into an actual media room.
Playroom Storage Project Update
This is what I’ve been working on for the last couple of days (whenever I have a spare moment that is). These are the media hutches that will go on top of the cubby bases that I’ve already completed. As you can see, I painted the inside of my boards before I started building. Doing this requires a lot of patience during the preparation stage. I just need to get the back panel onto each hutch and then I’ll be painting again.
